Case of Dopa -responsive dystonia(Segawa disease) in Ghana

Abstract

The aim of this report is to increase the awareness of   a rare but eminently treatable disease (Dopa –responsive dystonia) or Segawa disease  which has not been previously reported in Ghana.  Diagnosis was made from a clinical evaluation and a dramatic response to L-Dopa.
