Advances in Adult and Development Education (AADE) is an international, peer-reviewed, open access scholarly journal dedicated to advancing research, theory, and practice in adult learning, lifelong education, and developmental education across the lifespan. The journal serves as a platform for educators, researchers, practitioners, and policymakers to explore contemporary issues shaping adult and continuing education in diverse cultural, social, and institutional contexts.

Focus and Scope

AADE publishes high-quality empirical, theoretical, and practice-based articles that contribute meaningfully to the field. Areas of interest include, but are not limited to:

We welcome qualitative, quantitative, mixed-methods, and action research, as well as critical analyses, conceptual papers, and comprehensive reviews.

Open Access Policy

AADE is committed to the principle that knowledge should be freely accessible. All articles are published under open access, allowing readers to read, download, copy, distribute, print, or link to the full texts without financial, legal, or technical barriers. The journal does not charge subscription fees. Article Processing Charges (APCs), if applicable, will always be transparently stated on the journal’s website.

Authors retain full copyright of their work. Upon publication, articles are released under a Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY) license unless otherwise specified. This permits unrestricted use, distribution, and reproduction in any medium, provided the original work is properly cited.

Peer Review Process

AADE uses a double-blind peer review process. Submissions are initially screened by the editorial team for relevance and quality before being sent to at least two expert reviewers. Reviewers evaluate manuscripts based on scholarly merit, methodological rigor, originality, and contribution to the field.

Sponsorship and Funding Disclosure

AADE is an independent publication. Any institutional support, partnerships, or sponsorships will be transparently acknowledged within individual articles and on the journal’s website. Sponsors do not influence editorial decisions, review processes, or publication outcomes.
