Artist’s perspective
In the composition, there is an abundance of vibrancy in colour and form, amidst an expression of self-confidence on the subject. She carries herself with pride and dignity in a conducive environment that complements her demeanour. She carries two fruits in both hands - an orange and green - in two different colour backdrops. Choosing the orange fruit would mean making hot and uncertain choices. However, the blue background suggests calmness. To choose the green fruit might seem a better choice however, the hot orange backdrop suggests levels of likely distress and discomfort.
