The Journal of French and Francophone Studies (JOFFS), founded by the Department of French, at the University of Ghana, is an annual, bilingual, peer-reviewed, open access academic journal. For this inaugural issue and subsequent numbers, JOFFS welcomes up-to-date research from the following scientific domains:
- Didactics of French as a second/foreign language
- French linguistics
- Francophone literatures
- French literature
- Media arts, films and cartoons in French
- Communication Studies in French
- Translation Studies
- Interpretation Studies
All submissions to Journal of French and Francophone Studies will be subjected to a rigorous evaluation process which includes initial assessment by the editorial team, a double-blind peer review, and plagiarism checks. This periodical will accept only unpublished and original manuscripts of very high quality and will reject any manuscript that is already under review or has been issued by another publication outlet. JOFFS also welcomes reviews of outstanding books and films on French and Francophone studies as well as interviews with stellar writers and members of the scientific community.
Contributors must respect the following limits:
- article: between 4000 and 8000 words
- review: 1000 and 2000 words
- interview: 1500 and 5000 words
